BUILDING MATERIALS 

PROJECT 1: SOLID VS VOID- "SHAPING LIGHT & SPACE"

Project 1 is an individual task. In this project, we are required to design and build a basic shape (sphere, cuboic, cone etc) in an imaginary volume of 12"x12"x12". The selected 3D shape must be built by using 3 different materials which at least one must be transparent. I have decided to use planes to present cuboic. 

PROJECT 2: MATERIALITY OF SPACE: AN EXPERIENTIAL EXPLORATION

Project 2 is about experiencing a space and understanding how the materials affect the atmosphere od the space and the users' experience in that space. The first part of this assignment is a group task while the second part is an individual task.

In a group of 5, we are required to select a space and produce 1 mood board and 2 A2 boards. For my group, we have chosen Setia Walk.

Individually, we are required to pick an area within the space to further analyze the materials used in that area and how the materials affect the users' experience. I have chosen a Japanese restaurant- Tokyo Kitchen to analyze the materials used.
