MEASURED DRAWINGS

 

PROJECT 1: SKETCHBOOK AND JOURNAL

 

Project 1 is an individual project. In this project, we are asked to produce 10 sketches that give a strong idea of the place that we have carried out the measured drawing exercise. We are required to draw the plan, section and elevation of the building so that we can understand the building better. The building my group got is Istana Negara. Through this project, we are able to capture the tangible and intangible essence that is contained within the architecture realm. I was not able to finish all the sketches on-site, hence I captured some photos and did all the sketches at home. I maaged to improve my sketching skill and enhance the important part of each sketches.

Project 2 is a group project. We are required to produce a report which has more than 5000 words and a video with duration of 3 to 5 minutes. Through this project, we learned how to document the significance of the given building to accompany the measured drawings. The video documenting the building is required to provide 3D experience of the building. Through this project, I have learnt how to analyze and interpret what I observed as the information of our building is quite limited.

PROJECT 2: BUILDING REPORT AND VIDEO

PROJECT 3: MEASURED DRAWINGS AND MODEL

For Project 3, we are to produce a set of measured drawing, a photo book and a physical model to show the consturction and the structure of our building. I am so lucky for being one of the members of model team. Through this project, I have learnt how to use Autocad to cad the interior and exterior walls and furnitures for laser cutting. Thanks to all the seniors who taught and helped me a lot in this project.
