PROJECT 1: A PERSONAL SPACE
In a group of 3, we are required to design a flexible, lightweight and simple operated outdoor space for our selected elderly. The proposed design must be multipurpose and able to accommodate user's activities such as seating, leaning, resting and etc. As a group, we are required to select an elderly for investigation to understand our client's needs through interview, observation and research.
PROJECT 2A: SITE ANALYSIS
Before starting to design the elderly centre, we are required to conduct site analysis to have better understanding of our given site. Our site is located at Taman Kanagapuram which was a rubber estate. There are 9 elderly homes located in that area which is suitable for us to propose an elderly centre for the old folks.
PROJECT 2B: CENTRE FOR THE ELDERLY
This project is an individual component. We are required to provide a design proposal of an elderly centre which incorporates precedent studies and site analysis. We are to explore design solution that reduce environmental impact that utilising clustered spatial typology.
