ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN STUDIO 1
PROJECT 1: REPRESENTING ME
Project 1 is an individual assignment. This project is an introduction of the basic approaches in idea generation and conceptual narratives. We are required to create an abstract artwork which represents ourselves. It can be a sculpture, a mask or a glove. In this project, I have chosen ACTIVE and DEFENSIVE as the personalities to represent me.
PROJECT 2: LIFE CAPSULE
The aim of Project 2 is to expand our understading of the human body and the interaction of space and the body. In a group of 7, we are required to design a Life Capsule for the selected client. Firstly, we need to understand the client and based on his characters, hobbies and other special traits and then design a Life Capsule which able to house him for 24 hours.
PROJECT 3A: MY BUILDING, MY ARCHITECTURE
In a group of 6, we are required to create a video about a building that we have chosen. This project focuses on story telling and narrative. For my group, we have selected Razak Mansion.
PROJECT 3B: A HIDEOUT
The final project is an individual task. We are required to design a dream space which serves as a hideout for a given user. We are given a list of celebrities, artists, scientists, sport players and other significant characters. I have chosen MARILYN MONROE as my client. I have created a hideout for Marilyn Monroe according to her preferences, needs and personality.
