PROJECT 1 JOURNEY OF THE 5 SENSES

Project 1 is separated into 2 parts. In a group of 5, we are required to select 2 precedents for analysis. The precedents selected can be local or international examples. One precedent must be Pre-,odern movement and the other must be contemporary. We should also pick one linear and one concentric precedents for analysis. We are required to analyse the spatial poetics and spatial typology of the selected precedents. For the second part of Project 1, we are asked to design a poetic space themed "Journey for the 5 Senses". Literatire, poetry and lyrics will be given by respective tutors and we are needed to translate the given literature, poetry or lyrics into a journey by using 2 contrasting typoligies which are linear and concentric.

PPROJECT 2: GENIUS LOCI: SITE ANALYSIS AND CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT

In the same group as Project 1, we are required to conduct a site analysis of the physical contect within the identified macro and micro sites. In this project, we are needed to produce a 7 to 1o mins digital presentation. 

PROJECT 3: GENIUS LOCI: VISITOR INTERPRETIVE CENTRE

The final project is an individual component. ​The interpretive centre will serve two purposes which are providing a physical point of reference with visual significance that keeps alive the culture/history/memory/essence of the site and accommodation to house and display relevant material and interpretive material for public access and information. We are required to design a VIC with a total floor area not exceeding 450sqm and emphasis on using heavy thermal mass materials.
